like monkeys on a tin can playing a game of telephone
somewhere down the line between the expletives and moans
there's a lonesome operater who's just trying to make it home
so he transfers all the calls to an open dial tone
they keep talking about the topic as if there were nothing left to say
and the people are like the principles they abuse and throw away
but if you listen very closely in the distance of their gaze
Ticking tracks and tin can laughter with no audience for the stage
like a tooth that is abscessin
the infection keeps on spreadin
till your so sick from the obsession
that you question the connection
between the election introspection
and a message as a weapon
so you tourniquet around the neck
to stop the bleeding in your leg
And take an ounce of medication
to stop the pounding in your head
and still the dedication for all the blatent things missaid
gives little commiseration for those still waiting for their dead
a game of Russian roulette
and every round's been loaded
guess which candidate is best
when your heads already exploded
close your eyes and point the blame
like a childhood game
which one of these things is not the same
which one of these things is different
which one of these things is filled with shame
which one of these things has wicked intent
in the back alleys of our nation
a bureaucratic donkey show
where you're the star attraction
between a pachyderm and a burro
so you made it to the poll
but theres not much you can do
when you realize that you're in that next stall
and he keeps tapping his foot at you
