Caged Innocence
A clouded haze, eyes that no longer see, I'm in such a daze and they keep watching me.
They took my sanity so I can't escape, to die here but not live is clearly my fate.
They pollute our minds with their pathogens, once we're taken we can't get back again.
They keep me locked up with all of the rest, if we speak they swat us like pests.
All we truly want is to go home, we drop like flies, the next is never known but we sit quietly hoping they leave us alone.
And all we truly want is to go...home.
