By Caleb Hendricks
When my eyes grow weary and my tired head nods
And the walls begin to close in
I reach for the sweet sweet nector of the gods
Oh, coffee, my secret sin
I awake in the morning a delight to my eyes
To see you looking back at me
I don't know how I could cope with all those long lonely nights
Without your support and your strength
When I was young we used to spend all night
Just you and me in a Denny's booth
You were there when I needed a boost to get by
And we've left stains on the table for proof
Now that I'm older I still can rely
On your exquisite willingness to adapt
You're all that I want and I don't have to think twice
I'll never switch to decaf
