On Greg Rogers Game "Theres a man sitting in the park" 07/13/12

heres a game: an old man is sitting on a bench in a park, brown bag in his lap, cane by his side, pigeons gathered round his feet, but he is not feeding them, cane leaning on the bench slightly tilted, beautiful blue sky no clouds 'cept for one purple bruised color cloud floating against the breeze.

now in 10 lines or less with that image in your mind, write what you feel without thinking about it.
-Greg Rogers

he think about his pass all this year i work for what to sit here with the pigeons?
- Mary Helen Carrizales

he sits like he always has,
alone wishing he could stand
and thinking how his life was blue and clear
until she left because he had nothing to give her.
he didn't notice when she spread her wings.
he never thought to go to the corner store
and buy a loaf of bread.
-Chris Poethead Brooks

I bring my lunch everyday, to watch life go by and drift away,

1.Heart's stopped in a gaze.
2.That cloud had wings like the angel that he once held.
3.Three years since, an eternity it seems.
4.Bright sunlight peaks through kindly blinding as if she was there standing smiling taking his breath away.
5.The cool breeze calms his breath.
6.The remembrance enlightens his soul.
7.Another time, another dime for the penny arcade that is life.
8.He smiles, he laughs, she extends her hands.
9.Time to come home time to be one again.
10.No worries, no hurries, just peace at last.
-Omar Rivera

wouldn't be fair if i didn't do the game myself so here goes: “no wind today, no laughter, no tears
Pain in the air the truth is clear
Time is not kind nor clean or wise
this day or this night someone somewhere cries
time the evil made by man time the relentless
sacrifice it demands
two hearts that were one is past
two hearts no more time has come at last
time is not kind nor clean or wise
for end the end is all we have and yet there Is no time”
-Greg Rogers
