"Frigidity" Written by Omar Rivera

Frigidity

by: Omar Rivera

Your empty heart attacks my body as if I were a wounded elk,and you ravenous wolf on the scent trail.

Your cold touch is ever foreboding the warmth of love's embrace.

Send an Angel, send a guardian against this debauchery.

You send me away. I return with vigorous persistence aiming to soften that heart of stone.

Solemn cold of night stares me down in my search for you.

I call out to you over and over again, and still in solitude remain.

Reach out ! Fight it! Let love's reign warm your soul.

Enough!

I can no longer bare to be as frigid as you, as rigid as the granite-walled mazes placed in your cavernous heart.

I beckon to you, set camp, and light the evenings fire.

The smoke rising and your skin peeking as if Winter's curse has ended and brought on the Spring like the grass peeking though the pure white snow.

There IS an end in sight!! She cracks a smile.
